With minimally invasive treatments such as FaceTite and BodyTite, qualified candidates can achieve exceptional facial rejuvenation and body contouring results with less downtime and limited scarring. Both of these exciting new treatments use radio-frequency (RF) technology (often combined with liposuction for BodyTite) to tighten the skin and soft tissue and contour and reduce fat. Patients interested in BodyTite and FaceTite can feel at ease knowing that these treatments feature real-time temperature tracking, which means your plastic surgeon is able to monitor skin and tissue temperatures throughout the procedure, making this technology both safe and effective. See below to learn more about radio-frequency lipolysis for both the face and body. If you believe you may be a candidate for BodyTite or FaceTite, please contact us today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Jerome Liu or Dr. Tom Liu.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite by InMode was developed as a way to provide patients with a minimally invasive way to achieve results similar to that of a lower facelift (neck lift). Using a small, patented cannula, this innovative technology applies RF energy both above and below the skin’s surface to gently heat and tighten the skin and underlying structures of the lower face and neck. With just one treatment, this method can provide remarkable results with little to no scarring. Collagen production is also stimulated to further improve results over time. FaceTite can be used to improve skin laxity of both the face and neck areas. Patients concerned about loose skin, jowling, and more now have another treatment option available to explore.

FaceTite vs. Facelift

FaceTite and a traditional facelift both address sagging skin and lost definition along the jawline, but they serve different patients. FaceTite is minimally invasive, performed through tiny access points rather than incisions, with most patients returning to normal activities within a few days. A facelift is surgical, requires a longer recovery of two to three weeks, and delivers a more dramatic, longer-lasting correction for significant skin laxity.

Results follow a similar contrast. FaceTite improvement builds gradually over several months as collagen remodels beneath the skin, while facelift results are visible almost immediately after swelling resolves. Neither approach is inherently "better" — the right choice depends on how much laxity you're addressing and how much downtime you can accommodate. During your consultation, Dr. Jerome Liu or Dr. Tom Liu will help you weigh these trade-offs against your goals.

If you're still deciding between the two, our full comparison, FaceTite vs. Full Facelift, walks through candidacy, cost, and results side by side in more depth.

What is BodyTite?

The InMode BodyTite system is designed to reduce excess fat while simultaneously using RF energy to tighten skin and encourage collagen production. This body contouring treatment is usually combined with liposuction, and the heat produced by the device can also melt fatty tissue, making it easier to remove during the procedure. Unlike procedures that require skin excision, such as a tummy tuck or brachioplasty (arm lift), BodyTite offers qualified candidates the advantage of body contouring and skin tightening using a minimally invasive approach, local anesthesia, and little down time.

How to Prepare for Your FaceTite Consultation

A little preparation before your consultation helps us design a treatment plan that's truly tailored to you, and helps you get the most out of your time with Dr. Jerome Liu or Dr. Tom Liu. We recommend bringing the following:

  • A current medication list, including any blood thinners, supplements, or anti-inflammatories, since some may need to be paused before treatment
  • Reference photos of the look you're hoping to achieve, or of your own face at a younger age, to help communicate your goals visually
  • A clear sense of your priorities — whether jawline definition, neck laxity, or jowls concern you most — so we can focus the conversation where it matters
  • Your medical history, including prior facial procedures or injectables, so we can plan around them appropriately

Once we understand your goals and health history, we'll walk you through what to expect at every stage, from treatment through recovery, using our TouchMD interactive displays, so you leave with a clear, visual understanding of your personalized plan.

The Consult

In your one-on-one consultation, Dr. Jerome Liu or Dr. Tom Liu can conduct a thorough examination to determine if FaceTite and/or BodyTite is right for you. Patients must be in good overall health, and it is recommended that you be at or near your ideal weight. Depending on your unique needs and goals, our surgeons may suggest another procedure that can more appropriately address your concerns, such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), brachioplasty (arm lift), facelift, or dermal fillers.

What to Expect

Both FaceTite and BodyTite can be performed under local anesthesia or light sedation. If needed or desired, your surgeon can provide you with additional medication to improve overall comfort and reduce anxiety during treatment. The length of each procedure will depend on the extent of the concerns being addressed. During your consultation, your surgeon can give you a detailed overview of what to expect so you can plan accordingly for your treatment.

FaceTite Recovery Week by Week

Recovery from FaceTite is gradual, and knowing what to expect at each stage can ease the process considerably.

  • Week 1: Swelling and bruising are at their most noticeable. Most patients feel comfortable resuming light activity within a few days, though we recommend keeping strenuous exercise on hold.
  • Weeks 2–4: Visible swelling and bruising continue to subside, and the first signs of a smoother, tighter jawline begin to emerge.
  • Up to 12 weeks: Collagen remodeling continues beneath the skin, gradually refining and firming the treated area. Many patients notice their most flattering results appearing during this stretch.

Because FaceTite works with your body's own collagen production, patience in these final weeks pays off — the results you see at 12 weeks are meaningfully more refined than what you'll see at week one.

How Long Do FaceTite Results Last on Their Own?

Patients considering FaceTite on its own, without pairing it with another treatment, often ask how long they can expect their results to hold. Because FaceTite stimulates your own collagen rather than relying on an implant or filler, results are long-lasting — many patients enjoy their improved contour for several years, with normal aging and lifestyle factors (sun exposure, weight changes, skincare habits) playing a role in how long that improvement holds.

When FaceTite is paired with liposuction, often recommended for patients with more stubborn fat beneath the chin or along the jawline, the combination tends to produce a more sculpted result up front, with longevity following the same general pattern as FaceTite alone. For patients pairing FaceTite with MyEllevate, our existing FAQ notes a typical 3–5 year window before touch-up treatment might be considered.

As with any energy-based treatment, results are not permanent in the sense of stopping the aging process altogether, but the collagen-driven tightening FaceTite creates tends to age gracefully alongside you.

How long do results with MyEllevate and FaceTite combination last?

How long do FaceTite and BodyTite procedures typically take?

Treatment times vary depending on the size and number of areas being addressed. Smaller, more focused treatments may take under an hour, while more extensive sessions can take longer. Your surgeon will give you a more accurate time estimate during your consultation.

Will I need to arrange for someone to drive me home after my procedure?

Yes. Since these procedures are performed under local anesthesia or light sedation, it is recommended that you arrange for a trusted friend or family member to drive you home and stay with you for the first several hours following treatment.

When will I see my final results?

While some improvement may be noticeable shortly after treatment, final results develop gradually as collagen production increases and swelling subsides. Full results are typically seen within three to six months after your procedure.

Are FaceTite and BodyTite permanent?

While these treatments produce long-lasting results, they do not stop the natural aging process. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and skincare routine can help prolong your outcome.

How long do results with MyEllevate and FaceTite combination last?

The combination of MyEllevate and FaceTite can deliver long-lasting neck and lower face rejuvenation, with most patients enjoying results for 3 to 5 years or more. FaceTite continues to stimulate collagen production for up to 12 weeks post-treatment, while MyEllevate's suture-based support system reinforces the underlying tissue for added longevity. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and proper skincare can help maximize your results over time.
