Dr. Jerome H. Liu discovered his passion for medicine while still in high school. He was one of a few select high school students given a guaranteed position in medical school as part of a combined medical program at Brown University. After graduating from Brown University, Dr. Liu received his medical degree from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Liu is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
After graduating from UCLA, Dr. Jerome Liu completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at the UCLA Medical Center, rated “Best in The West” by US News and World Reports. During that time, Dr. Liu received multiple research and teaching awards. He was also awarded a grant from the National Research Service Award (a branch of the National Institutes of Health) and Veterans Administration to obtain a masters degree in health services research from the UCLA School of Public Health and to conduct research regarding the quality of health care in the United States. Following the completion of his plastic surgery training at the UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Liu was offered a position as an Assistant Instructor and Aesthetic Fellow at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. This is one of only a handful of highly competitive and coveted aesthetic plastic surgery fellowships in the United States that provides specialized training in cosmetic plastic surgery. During this fellowship, Dr. Liu was mentored by international leaders and authorities in plastic surgery and learned the latest cutting edge techniques for facelift surgery, facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, body contouring, and breast augmentation.
Dr. Jerome Liu is an author or co-author of over 50 peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and research abstracts on topics including rhinoplasty, facelift, browlift, Asian eyelid surgery, surgical outcomes, breast reconstruction, and quality of care. His articles have been published in leading journals and publications including the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Journal of the American Medical Association and the Breast Journal.

In his spare time, Dr. Jerome Liu enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, skiing, golf, and martial arts. He has a black belt in Shotokan Karate. Dr. Liu is also conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
